So….Dylan had his last band concert Tuesday night. I had mentioned in a previous post that I was thinking I might come out of the tattoo closet that night and wear something that allowed part of my big tattoo to be seen.
Well first off, the concert was great. I had planned to post a snippet I recorded on the camera but apparently I need to learn how to use that feature because it didn’t record. Dylan has been a trumpet player for the last three years in middle school for the regular band and jazz band. He was given a trumpet for free when he started sixth grade and that’s what he went with.
Since then he has taken up drums and is really good - but there was no room for him to change to drums, so he has stuck with the trumpet.
So this was the last concert - he heads to high school next year.
Anyway, I ended up not coming out of the tattoo closet. Not because I chickened out. More like the weather was really cold - 30’s and 40’s all day. So if I had worn something that showed my tattoo, I would have gotten the, “what an idiot” looks for wearing a summer shirt when it was so cold out - not so much for the tattoo probably.
Tomorrow is another day though. I am helping out at the 8th Grade Picnic and it’s supposed to be in the 60’s so I’m going for it…..
