Man I wish I could start every morning off like this - sunny ray of sun - just plop somewhere….
Anyway, today is the last day of school - and last day of middle school for my son. You spend your younger days wishing you were out of school and ready to be free of that routine. Then you become a parent and your life for 13 years is once again revolving around the school year.
I always look forward to summer vacation. I know many parents who dread it because the kids are home. I never have - even when he was little. Of course, I’ve only got one, so there isn’t all that stuff between siblings that goes on in other homes that drives stay at home moms over the edge.
So for the next 2 1/2 months no more alarms, no more nagging him to get up and get going, fun things planned. I kind of feel like a kid - whoo hoo! Summer vacation is here!
