Warped Tour’s stop-over here in Denver is now less than 3 weeks away. So here is our next installment of band reviews as we search for who will make our personal list this year. Take our reviews with a grain of salt - you might have completely different tastes. If you want to check out a complete list of bands playing Warped Tour Denver this year, head here.

Just added to the lineup is Pennywise. I would think most people going have got to be happy about this! If not, you probably shouldn’t be going. They will for sure have the water bottles and turkey legs flying….

So without a doubt they are on our list.

The Briggs will also be making our list. Another good punk band that is going to get the crowd going. Put them on your list if you like the punk music (which is what I think Warped Tour should stick to….).

Next we are taking a listen to We the Kings. After going to their myspace page and seeing the picture of them… I really didn’t want to like them. They look so young and I’m sure teenage girls probably love them. But I kind of liked them. Dylan left the room so he’s not here to get the teenage guy opinion. Total opposite from the last two bands that are making the list. They’ll be more towards the bottom of the list, but depending on the schedule, we will try and see them. Not to mention, I’ll have two nieces with me who will hate all the other music we want to see. This might a compromise so they don’t totally hate me by the end of the day.

Now I think it goes without saying we will be seeing Angels and Airwaves. I really don’t think they need to be reviewed. You must live in a cave if you need a review from me.

Now for a couple other quick reviews:

Farewell - I kept thinking they sounded like someone - then when I finally got the connection….if you are a Fallout Boy fan then you will probably like the Farewell. I am not. Oh - and Dylan had the exact same reaction. Too poppy. Well, too Fallout Boy.

Evergreen Terrace - This is a really tough call. We like the music and the sound. And I’m not opposed to screaming stuff. They ride a fine line between screaming and growling. To me though, if I can understand what they are saying, then it’s not growling. We aren’t marking this band off, they will just be pretty far down. It’s the sound that I really like.

And finally for this round, Reel Big Fish. Would I buy an album? No. Would they be a blast to watch at Warped Tour? Yes.

I have to say that you don’t give we the kings, entice, or farewell enough credit at all. Farewell sounds nothing like FOB which is the best compliment you could give them in my opinion. I detest fall out boy, but i really do like Farewell. WE the Kings are actually towards the older side of the Warped Tour spectrum, at least for San Antonio’s band line-up. They really aren’t that teen girl attractive, which sounds strange because I’m a teenage girl. I saw them in october before they sort of skyrocketed, but there was no sort of jonas brothers reaction from any girl in the room. Actually at this point in time, I saw very few girls actually go up to them! Entice I am actually personally friends with, but it’s not due to that relationship that I am going to defend them. Isaac (the lead singer) doens’t have an accent, it’s more of a Cold War Kids-esque way of singing which I’m not the biggest fan of, butI think it’s a nice break from the scores of bands who grace the stages of warped sounding like they all have the same singers and/or screamers. I think that you should re-review some of these bands after you see them, for the most part their myspaces just don’t give them the same credit as seeing live.

Really love your website and how much detail you go into on all the bands, tours, concerts, etc. Not many people would take the time to go into such depth. Your site is a fantastic resource for music lovers. Keep up the great work!

I agree with Ariel - I absolutely love ENTICE! Didn’t think I would, but I find I’m pretty drawn to their amazing sound. These guys are gonna really kick some ass. I think we’ll be hearing their name a lot more in the days and years to come. They have an enduring quality. Looking forward to seeing them in person. Angels & Airwaves - hey, what can I say - they’ve grown into a pretty awesome band! Can’t wait until tomorrow!! BTW, thanks for the great music site. Keep up the great work!
