So as a Halloween crazed family we are already making preparations for the party and also Halloween night. Halloween is in the air now that school has started and local stores have started putting out their merchandise. Soon the corn mazes and haunted houses will be opening.
Shane and I have worn elaborate vampire costumes the past couple of years and he and Dylan are in the process of building me my own toe pincher coffin. So this year, we decided to have a family va
mpire portrait done. The only problem - Dylan didn’t have a costume.
I spent a good amount of time yesterday looking at all kinds of websites to find just the right costume. It couldn’t look cheesy since it needed to blend in with what Shane and I already had. As you can see from last years picture, Dylan was out of place. This year we want to do a very formal picture, so he needed a decent costume.
I finally found what we needed at HalloweeCostumes4U.com. It would be easy to get carried away coming up with new costumes for Shane and I - but I refrained. But if you are looking for anything - I can’t imagine they wouldn’t have it. I came across a Sweeney Todd costume which was cool. Costumes for babies are hilarious. Go look at this Gold Fish Costume. Makes me want to have a baby! Well, not really.
I did end up getting a mask for a prop we are working on as well. I find it much easier to sit at my computer and look for this kind of thing rather than spend a bunch of money on gas going from store to store. Plus, it can be really hard to find a size for Dylan so even if we found something locally, most likely they wouldn’t have the right size.
So go check out their website - there are a lot of great ideas, especially if you stumped as to what to be. Halloween isn’t just for kids you know!
